1128: Hashmas

Although astronomers have recently placed the birthday of JC at 17th June by identifying the star of Bethlehem (Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter) the Dukhan Hash decided to keep with tradition and celebrate Hashmas on the last Sunday before the 25th of December.

Coach set a sort of seasonal blue and green trail on the only unpainted ground around the Hashmas site. There were three short trails over fairly flat ground so we could get back quickly to enjoy the beer and singing. Most of the hash managed to be miles away from the On-In though as the hare had marked it near the middle of the last trail. I only made it in first as I was counting on Coaches devious streak emerging.

Neil Scott chose myself as a bucketing candidate although he could not come up with a reason. Frank also was soaked for interrupting the hash circle with a phone call and not wearing a hash T-Shirt.

Everybody huddled round the fire in the chilly desert and sung traditional and hashified carols.

Thanks to everybody who provided food, fire and lighting. The Chili was excellent.
