1129: Old Coulston Hash House Harriers World Tour 2008
Methuselah, Pegasus and Neice Katie set a nice medium length hash out the North gate next to the sea and some very territorial arctic terns. It was a small group as most of the teachers and a few Engineers were still away freezing themselves in the lands to the North. The terrain was mainly flat and a bit sandy but nice and long. Not much paint was used but luckily the soft sand left a nice trail of footprints to follow. First in was Scott Haggarty who got through the most of the right words with a little help from Paw. Rocky bucketed Coach, Scott and Myself for no reson but spite.
Methuselah who is a big fan of Maguyver fashioned a makeshift cup out of a water bottle for his thirsty wife and we all had a well earned drink as the sun set.
Entertainment was provided by Firecracker who took just about every wrong route out of the site before giving up and coming back for directions. Looks like you should have got a GPS for the Volvo Coach.

1128: Hashmas
Although astronomers have recently placed the birthday of JC at 17th June by identifying the star of Bethlehem (Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter) the Dukhan Hash decided to keep with tradition and celebrate Hashmas on the last Sunday before the 25th of December.
Coach set a sort of seasonal blue and green trail on the only unpainted ground around the Hashmas site. There were three short trails over fairly flat ground so we could get back quickly to enjoy the beer and singing. Most of the hash managed to be miles away from the On-In though as the hare had marked it near the middle of the last trail. I only made it in first as I was counting on Coaches devious streak emerging.
Neil Scott chose myself as a bucketing candidate although he could not come up with a reason. Frank also was soaked for interrupting the hash circle with a phone call and not wearing a hash T-Shirt.
Everybody huddled round the fire in the chilly desert and sung traditional and hashified carols.
Thanks to everybody who provided food, fire and lighting. The Chili was excellent.

1127: "Worst Hash Ever!" (Klipe)
Hot to Trot and Gump set the longest Hash run in living memory and had even Methusala groaning about the rocky terrain. Up and down jebels with the agility of a 3 legged goat half the Hash mumped and moaned as they persevered along the trails. It was a shame that there were few runners for such a lengthy Hash with no usual second trail for the older members. It was agreed that the area picked was a wonderful area for the Hash and will no doubt be used again. The trails were well marked and scenic, in fact it covered half of the Fahahil area.Coach thought that it was the first Hash he'd been on that started on Sunday and was destined to finish on the Monday. Comments were given by Pegasus and she was kind to the Hares. Klipe was the second comment and got ripped right into our pair of Hares for leading us up dangerous rocky surfaces and forcing several of the older ones to slip and slide down more rocky screes..Fast Ed was the Buck-a-teer and soaked Hot to trot and Gump for the trail and Rob for departing for Vancouver snow. The circle enjoyed the usual refreshments and plans were made for the forthcoming " Hashmas " On on.

1126: Khatiyah North Human Racing Circuit
It was a lovely sunny day at the Khatiyah North human racing circuit. Although the number of humans participating was small, there was a good turnout of camel spectators. Snacks of bush and shrub were readily available as the camels watched humans of various shapes and sizes run around in circles for aparently no discernable reason. They went up and down sandy slopes and across large flat plains shouting things like "on-on" and "checking in". One skinny human in yellow paid little attention to the course and just ran around lots while one four legged racer was more interested in the spectators than the race.
Razamashaz set a nice human hash race which she un-necessarily apologised for at the start. Nice use of a dual colour course to make it more interesting. Unconventionally, the hare was also the spy. She bucketed Cluseau for going on holiday, Hang-About for hanging about and myself for forgetting the hash books.
Good turnout for a holiday period. On On the harespy, coach the temporary hashmaster and quench.
