1058

Virgin Hares, Bummer'n'Bob, set an impressively really good run, a superb location, sensational weather, the best of company, decent trails, decent bits in between and a real sod of an on in. rocks for rocky, softs and for the bums, a dugong for the curious and a few beers at the end of course.
Clouseau kept us from sundown to sunup recounting ancient hash history in his quest for the bucketable, and was rather unkind...no more than we expect or deserve.
Coach was back at the front - both of the run and the queue for the bucket.
Keep it coming.

Happy Brithday Methusela, 3 x 7 almost 22.

A good weedious deeve of a run. The sun set deliciously over the lapping flat gulf sea, seagulls flapped lazily. Jess took the bucket with gusto, Sea Weed and Methusela fed the crowds. We were happy to see Rebekah and Alan, Grant, Janet, Mme Klipe and Wendy & Howard and all those back from their hols.

If anyone has pictures from the camp, and/or memories to share, please share them. You can comment here or e-mail dukhanhash

1056 Survivor

HHH. Historic, HotnHumid, Hungover.
Lo, as at 7 am we decided to get the Live RUn over and done, up screeches Methusela to join in. The two D's (Dave and Danny) didn't understand (or sympathise with) the moans of the rest and took us away and further away. Eventually, Pippin got to deservedly bucket the young stopupallnight and keepeveryoneawake gang.

The history, that small bunch of survivors are the names inscribed in the first column first page of the new Hash Book (taking over from the first one started in 1981).

Breakfast was gooooooooood. Full English.

Final thanks to all who stayed and cleaned up. Especially Klipe who checked back after everyong had left at 10am. I'm proud that the site was left spotless and drew the comment "If only all people used the beaches like the Hashers"

1055 Eid Camp

Some Hash thanks. Biggest thanks to everyone who came to the camp last night, we thought it was a real success - so, big thanks to you guys - for coming along and bringing your positive, relaxed attitudes with you. Special thanks of course to those who worked hard to make it all happen: Klipe the invaluable if camp Hash Camp, Clousseau the charading braai, Coach for more questions than answers and the cocktails and other refreshment, Bubbly - hash matress given up for Hash Catering, Pippin for all round contribution and constant support, Meths for the power and tatties, Morange for the breakfast treat.
It was great to see so many, and already there is talk of another camp sometime next month (Guy Fawkes Nov 9th maybe?) watch this space.

Eid Mubarak!
It was a case of the DTs, DESERT TOURS, courtesy of our Rowdy. Some trek out, to the frequently viewed but rarely hashed between Zikrit and the main road - and amongst the camels. Up up up to the plateau we climbed, but once up, there we stayed for 3 good long runs and some interesting geological features. On On the hare!
Delighted to welcome Brooke and very happy to welcome back two stalwarts, Pegasus and Squeaky.
Dave G did a confident job on his last minute call to spy and will no doubt continue to be on the receiving end for a while to come. Josh came out an easy first in the battle of the Clarkes.
And, despite our best efforts, we managed to lose no dogs and no hashers.

See you Thursday for the camp!

Meths and Pegs did us proud with an up and downhill run. The nights are drawing in so we'll start earlier next time. Good numbers, and we welcomed Mark. Rocky was confused yet again, but the collection of spies were gentle on most. Thanks to Rock for the pictures.

SHOCK! HORROR! Sea Weed hare. All trails well marked and found!

A good up and down. Challenging but not too long. A very devious ON IN fooled us all.

Razzer took revenge on the antipods despite them having nothing to do with Fiji! SIdeshow and Kelsey finally caught Ruben and with LegoLas and Rock inaugurated the kids bucket.

More details about the camp in your e-mail. (If not, email dukhanhash@gmail.com)
